Save the Ta-tas!

As many of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Lots of stores and businesses in the area (and all over the country!) do displays and fundraisers to raise breast cancer awareness.  We were recenlty asked by the ladies at Annelle Primos to design a bra for a "Save the Ta-tas" display in their store!  We happily accepted the challenge and got to work on picking fabrics.  After getting input from all of our designers, we got to work on actually making the bra!

Katie went to Wal-Mart and got the most simple bra she could find.  Then Lisa gave Laurel specific instructions what fabrics to put where.  After working on the bra on and off for a couple of days, here is the final product! We thought it turned out really well!!

This week, designer Betsy Pevey shares a little bit about what has been catching her eye these days.  Her love for art, color and the great outdoors are truly inspiring.  Take a look...

"A painting definitely makes a room.  I am always thrilled with artists Lauren Barksdale and Dyann Gunter.  Lauren's beautiful birds and landscapes, and Dyann's abstracts and nudes are so versatile.  I think art is SO important , in any space."

"My favorite color right now is paprika.  It looks great with light hues, like golds and off whites, or darker hues like charcoals, taupes, and dark blues.  That color just has an energy that makes me happy!  I actually just finished up four custom pillows to bring that color into a neutral room.  We used a paprika linen with gold embroidery, and backed it in paprkia velvet. They turned out great.  A couple of my favorite fabrics with paprika are by Raoul and Galbraith and Paul"

"My favorite place at my own house right now is my patio.  Outdoor spaces are the ticket to relaxation... A place to unwind and enjoy with family and friends.  I love the multi-use of a garden seat.  They are great indoor and outdoor, and are an easy way to add a pop of color.  I am also loving the new outdoor introductions by LEE Industries.  They have some new outdoor fabrics that are beautiful and easy to clean."
